the lowdown - supporting young people

Personal Relationships

Personal Relationships covers how people get on with others like partners, family members, work colleagues, neighbours, friends and acquaintances. There are different kinds of relationships with different people; sometimes they are happy relationships that feel good, other times they may be unhappy, unhealthy or difficult to deal with.

You are not alone

Some relationships can feel hard, strained or out of our control and we may not understand why. This can affect our happiness, behaviour, health, self esteem and well being. Most of us will experience one or more difficult personal relationships at some time, however there is support and help available if you need it.

How the lowdown can help

You can contact the lowdown for free and confidential counselling, information and advice on relationships or any other issue. Our counsellors are fully trained and whether you’d like to discuss your relationships or those of someone you care about, we are here to listen and help. You can drop-in, make an appointment or call us for counselling or to chat about your situation.
