Business Support:
If you have a business, there are a number of ways in which you may wish to get involved such as corporate sponsorship; donation of a team or staff members skills; donation of services such as printing or old office equipment or stationery for example; You may be able to sponsor/underwrite, purchase a number of tickets to attend or provide items for raffle or auction, at a lowdown fundraising event; Another way of getting involved is by signing up to the governments 'Give As You Earn' scheme - to encourage your employees to donate a small monthly amount to the lowdown from their salaries, pre-tax; or you could send details of the lowdown to your contacts. If you would like to discuss getting involved, please contact Dawn Wright.
Fundraising:
Everyone can get involved with fundraising events and hopefully have a great time while you are doing it! You can help spread the word of fundraising events of you may wish to hold your own fundraising event (mufti day, Sponsored walk, silence, for example); or you may wish to get involved with, or attend one of our many fundraising initiatives and events. Every penny really will help to keep the services going.

Volunteering:
You may wish to volunteer your time and talents as a donation, and if so we have plenty of opportunities.
Aged 14-16? You could apply to join our Focus Forum or Peer Mentoring teams. Both teams give a voice to young people and work closely with us to ensure that our services for young people remain up-to-date and relevant. It is great fun, you get to make new friends and attend social and training events, plus it looks good on your CV for college or employment opportunities.
Aged 18 plus? You could apply to become a fully trained counselling & information worker, an information or shift support worker or a database administrator. We also have external opportunities for outreach and detached (working within the community) volunteers to join our training & outreach team. We are also looking for practical skills such as a handy person, gardener, electrician, plumber etc.
Committees – You may wish to join our energetic Fundraising or Development Policy Quality Committees to share your expertise, experience or enthusiasm.
We have a great team of volunteers, many of whom have been with us for more than 5 years and the support, training and personal development gained via volunteering with the lowdown continues to be well regarded.
